Do Grammar, Spelling and Punctuation Matter in Social Media?

Yes. ¬†Especially if it’s a business page.

  1. Yes if it is on a business page or you are making a serious point (or attempting to…). No if you are making a flippant remark or casual contact.

  2. Wouldn’t you come across more intelligent, especially when making a flippant remark, if your remark were spelled properly? Read a string of comments on YouTube and watch how often people making flippant remarks are made fun of when they spell a word wrong. Especially if it’s the most powerful word in their remark. Thanks for the comment Mr. Sigman.
